
Details of the Orchestra's next concert are as follows:-
MELANIE LEVY
Since graduating with a 1st class (Hons)
degree in performing arts, Mel has had a varied musical
career. Highlights include working with Cwmbach Male Voice choir, which
took her to venues such as The Play House Theatre, Weston Supermare. She has
also performed in a variety of works with the notable conductor, Andrew
Wilson-Dickson, as an alto soloist with Welsh Camareta. She has also
taken on the alto soloist part in "Messiah from Scratch" several times.
Operatic highlights include performing the part of "the Mother" in
"Hansel and Gretel" by Humperdink at Sheffield Cathedral and the role of
"Monika" in "the Medium" by Menotti.
On television she has been a
Karakoe Singer on "Holby City" as well as playing the part of the Pianist
for an S4c special depicting the Welsh National Anthem. Melanie is Musical Director for 4 adult choirs and 2 childrens choirs, teaching singing to many private pupils and also teaches singing at
Stagecoach Nantwich.
